Fashion Revolution Week: Acting Locally to Change Globally

Fashion Revolution Week: Acting Locally to Change Globally

Posted by Maria Bianchi on

This week, the world celebrates Fashion Revolution Week, a global movement born in response to the collapse of the Rana Plaza garment factory in Bangladesh on April 24, 2013.
On that tragic day, more than 1,100 people lost their lives while working in unsafe and inhumane conditions to produce low-cost clothing.

Since then, activists, designers, students, and conscious consumers have come together to demand real change: more transparency, justice, and dignity throughout the fashion supply chain.

The theme this year is clear: "Think globally, act locally."
The idea is simple yet powerful—small, local actions can have a real, positive impact on the global fashion system. By choosing better materials, supporting ethical sourcing, and producing with intention, we can all help shift the industry toward a more sustainable future.

At EVA Re-Source, this message is at the heart of everything we do.
Each day, we work to reduce textile waste and support brands, independent designers, and fashion students by making high-end materials accessible and affordable.

Our work starts with the fabric itself: we carefully select deadstock textiles from prestigious Italian and French fashion houses, giving them a second chance to be used instead of discarded. This is what we call circular creativity—a way of designing that considers the planet, without compromising on beauty and quality.

Our fabrics are available in small quantities, ready to ship, at fair and transparent prices.
We believe that every creative choice matters. And that every piece you create can be part of the revolution.

This Fashion Revolution Week, we invite you to make a conscious choice.
