This week, the world celebrates Fashion Revolution Week, a global movement born in response to the collapse of the Rana Plaza garment factory in Bangladesh on April 24, 2013.
On that tragic day, more than 1,100 people lost their lives while working in unsafe and inhumane conditions to produce low-cost clothing.
Since then, activists, designers, students, and conscious consumers have come together to demand real change: more transparency, justice, and dignity throughout the fashion supply chain.
The theme this year is clear: "Think globally, act locally."
